Dear Readers,
Perhaps because I've grown up always thinking I could not be something of a good writer,I find it espeically important to point out that nothing is perfect and I hardly started out writing like I do today. I think that's a message I want my son to understand that this stuff doesn't just magically appear. It takes hard work and lots of practice to get very good at anything-from writing to art. Some of these stories are in their fifth version, some are almost raw in their first drafted states. Some are from Highschool and others well into my college career. Accept the diamonds still uncut and unpolished as stepping stones to find the true gems underneath.

Toyo's Mirror (Ver 2) PDF *PG-13*
Lord Hizen had invited his favorite guests to his 30th birthday party. Of course some of the undead were bound to show up... but why is everyone falling asleep at 10PM? And who is The woman walking around in Toyo's skin? **Written for vampire fiction, this is a mature/classical Vampire like story. The Spider Princess and the Rat Theif (Ver. 5) PDF
George is a magical spider who lives with his lady Kumo, the spider princess in a port town on Harpeah. He and his lady are thrown into the affairs of the leading members of their clan when a most important key is stolen.... (This version differs from versions before as it's told from George's perspective.) (Spring 2009)
The Spider Princess (Version 4) PDF
Kumo is a weaver and a healer of the theives guild. When one up and coming theif named Rat uses her stall for his get away and kidnaps one of her spiders, Kumo is forced to follow him with an overly large baby sister in the Wolf- a knight in the city guard. (Spring 2009)
George and the Broken Teacup (Very Short Story) PDF
This is a short story that I wrote in class really fast while the teacher hurled out words we had to include into our writing. It was actually really fun to write and it inspired me to try writing the fifth version of the Spider Princess to be from George's fuzzy brained point of view. (Spring 2009)
The Rainbow Umbrella (Story) PDF
This is a retelling of the story of Little Red Riding Hood based in Japan. Originally a rewritten and rescrippted play this attempts to bring it from a script to a short story. This does have some changes to it and I believe some of the written in humor of having it as a play was lost. (I will have to fix that in future versions) (Spring 2009)
The Rainbow Umbrella (Play) PDF
Based off the play "A Crimson Parasol" this is a japanese version of the classic fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood" with a few twists, after all, ninjas are far more popular in japan then plain old wood cutters! (Fall 2008)
Tuesdays (A Very Short Story) PDF
An Excercise that managed to grab my attention and hold it a bit longer then it should. It's a short story told from two perspectives, two different ways. (Spring 2009)
Ria's Run (Ria's Story 1)
Ria is a princess who longs for freedom. Instead she's given over to Chain, an older, stubborn warrior who lives up to his name. She must manage not to kill, maim or otherwise damage Chain in an effort to get her freedom.... But not killing him is going to prove challenging! (2006)
Heat and Thunder (Ria's Story 2)
Ria and Chain are at it again, this time Ria's stuck in a tree trying to save a baby dragon with a storm rolling in. Will the heat and thunder boiling between her and her partner, as well as in the very air finally push them over the edge?

Baby Bear's Birthday
Baby Bear was turning four, a very important year in a young bear's life. Everything was going well until an angel descended and ruined his birthday present, ate his porriage and slept in his bed! What is a baby bear supposed to do?! (2003)
World Ending
Theworld has been invaded and the world of man is forced to choose sides in a war of faith. This is in it's entire-complete story form but a first draft. Roughly 24,000 Words (1998-1999)
Night of Hope
A story about a young woman who's afraid of marriage and the writer of the story trying to survive in an equally harsh world. (Two stories thrown together- but it's complete! Approx 7000 words (1998)
She Bear
A classic fairy tale under many names, such as donkey skin. This retelling involves a dwarf who grants a run away princess the ability to hide in the shape of a bear.
The Harp
The Harp is a magical item used to seek out the new ruler of a realm. My first "real" story. (And likewise, it's beginners tales) (1996)

For more reading, I have put up my favorite exercises from Le Guin's "Steering the Craft"- these are excerises we did in school spring 2009, and I found highly enjoyable and liked. They felt to "short" to put up on their own so I simply listed them under this page
